Christmas 2008

The little drummer boy. One of our favorite stories: Brought to Jesus the only gift he had which was his drum.
Christmas Eve: went to church for a time to celebrate God humbling Himself to come to the Earth as a baby born in a barn...must have been smelly. "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, BUT made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." Philippians 2:5-8. Christmas Eve Night: Older children got to open one gift then they and Daddy slept under the tree, using the gifts as pillows! The stockings were just laying around unstuffed and Ali said to Daddy "maybe next year they will get filled".

Dance with JOY!

Gifts were moved many times around the house..sorting, shaking, organizing.

Christmas love!

Big A's First Falling Tooth!

Big A lost her first tooth at a game of checkers with special guests. The interesting part of this was the permenant tooth was already visible...I think this is how sharks get their new teeth! Dentist said not to worry, it moves forward. (Spiderman always appears in our house...does he at yours?)

Horsemanship Academy

Big A has really enjoyed her horse lessons. She has an awesome teacher who really wants her students to take part in not only riding but caring for the animal as well. The boys really enjoy the dirt pile!

Thanksgiving at Pops and Mimi's House and Visiting the Nina

Mimi took Big A and ITM to explore the Nina - one of 3 ships that first sailed to America.

Childrens Choir at Church

Big A and ITM practiced hard for the Christmas choir at our church. At the last, ITM bailed out (but sung in the pews) and Big A did a great job singing the coming of God in the flesh. She was very nervous and really did not want to "go on stage" but after repeated prayer, God gave her the courage to sing. She got to stand by a new friend M...the details are taken care of!
Photos to come...

Snow Trip at Palomar

Daddy woke up early and took the older kids to the snow on Sat. Dec. 20th...oh what fun! To their surprise, they found more snow than what was anticipated.
Mama and Little A stayed home due to coughs and colds but it was great to have alone time with Little A
